Brynn's Birthday

This year for my birthday we hung out with our friends Todd and Nikole. The rest of my family wasn't in town and we had plans to celebrate my birthday a few weeks later (which we did, and it was great).

Our original plan was to go miniature golfing with Todd and Nikole in the afternoon... however, upon arrival, the mini golf place had been permanently closed. Being as there weren't any miniature golf places open that were (1) worth going to (2) nearby, we decided to go bowling instead.
Again... to our surprise, we realized we were all wearing flip flops. We stopped by the dollar store and bought some socks, then quickly made our way to the bowling alley.

We had a blast bowling, as none of us had done so in quite some time.

We tried to get a few action shots of one another bowling. We were mostly successful.

Daniel looking back to see if he scored.

Todd about to break some pins.

Hmm... yep, still handsome.

Daniel kept making me laugh while I was trying to throw the ball.

But I managed a spare!! Wooh!

Overall, great times were had.

And, of course, we couldn't let the night play out without making a few weird faces at the camera.

I'd say we succeeded... hehe.

Originally we paid for two games, but after our first game ended, management came over to our table and told us that leagues were about to start and we'd have to leave. They were very nice and gave us a full refund - what a great birthday present! Seeing as we still had some money and we were hungry, we decided to go out to a sushi bar called Ozeki... but everyone calls it Ozeki's.

Their sushi is delicious!

The boys had fun customizing our sushi platter.

Deep fried shrimp, I think? I can't remember... Nikole and Todd ordered it.

The boys also ordered saki. Gotta have saki with your sushi.

Our plate finally arrived, and boy we were hungry!

Between bites we kept the laughter flowing.

Cheers!

Hehe, we stuck this on my free birthday dessert and blew out the candle. Thanks Ozeki!
Overall, you can definitely say it was a successful birthday celebration. Thanks for helping us celebrate my birthday Nikole and Todd, we love you.

Annie and Mark's Wedding in Texas

This April we made it down to Texas for Annie and Mark's wedding - it was a blast. I got to meet a bunch of relatives I hadn't met before, while Daniel got to catch up with them all. We stayed for four days before we sadly had to go back home. The weather was great (although a little warm compared to Yakima), the food was amazing and the people were spectacular (as always).

You can see how much fun we had - Avari and Pops played house for a while before stacking boxes as tall as they would go.

We hung out at El Guapos the first night of our arrival.

Grandma D and Aunt Mary made it down from Minnesota.

A few of us had to run back to the house to get things after dinner; when we came back we hung around the Courthouse. It's beautiful - the whole down town area is lit up at night, but the Courthouse was by far the most luminous. Oh, yes... and some really drunk guy made quite an impression. Shaun also came up with the "Baby dance" here.

Daniel entertained himself with his phone the next day while the rest of us made preparations for the big day.

We picked up flowers gallore from different shops and ran last minute errands for candy. It was a great time.

Audrey having a good time with Roman and Avari. I think it was almost nap time for Roman.

All of the girls went and got their nails and toes painted for the wedding. We had a blast being pampered.

Hugs were given all around.

Look at those pretty nails.

Theresa and Lisa waited patiently while the rest of us finished drying our nails.

The next few pictures were taken at TWU in between rehearsal for Annie and Mark's wedding. My husband is so handsome.

Daniel showed me the frog pond. The pond itself is shaped like Texas... although you can't really tell from my pictures.

After the rehearsal, we made our way to dinner at a lovely place... that I honestly forget the name of. They served great food!

Shantel, Elijah and Avari. Shantel had her hands full the whole visit, but she did an amazing job! The kids had fun, and I daresay she did, too! What a great mom.

There certainly were a lot of people gathered around. I don't think I manged to get a picture with everyone in it - this is as close as I got. It was great to meet so many new people who loved Annie and Mark so much.

Cheers!

These next few pictures are just a bit of fun that I had with my silly camera.

Avari enjoying dessert!

The boys decided later that night to go boar hunting. Shaun was in the middle of preparing for the expedition when I snapped this picture. Thankfully no one was hurt... and thankfully no one caught a boar. Hehe.

This is the morning of the big day. The girls got gussied up and pampered yet some more while the boys packed the cars up.

I love this photo - they're so cute!!

Annie's dress.

This was Annie's photographer - she did an exceptional job.

My silly camera doesn't do Annie's dress justice - it was gorgeous.

Aunt Cindy twirling in her pretty dress.

Shaun came in to make sure everything was ok. I think he retreated due to the mass amount of hair spray lingering in the room.

A couple of gorgeous sisters.

Dressed and ready to go.

We made it to the chapel on time... hehe! There were "secret rooms" off to the side of the chapel on either side that the wedding party got ready in. Annie was being fitted into her dress by Momma D.

Ze Bridesmaids flowers.

Audrey writing in the guest book.

Look at that beautiful girl.

Caitie Applying the finishing touches.

The beautiful moms!

Annie and Katy.

The newly married couple! We were making or way around the campus for pictures.

After pictures, we made our way to the Union hall, where the reception was being held on the TWU campus.

My shoes!

Ah, at last we made it.

Daniel and his best bud, McLean.

Hwa, Robin and Daniel.

Mark designed the "Bushey" cake topper. How cool is that!

We all had a great time visiting and dancing the night away.

Mark and Annie's first dance.

The DiMarco family dancing.

Mom D and Matt.

Daniel and Sam.

Katy, Robin and I.

Grandma had fun dancing with Annie.

Mom D and Annie boogied down, but it wasn't quite as impressive as these next photos...

Winnie and Nancy got their groove on.

It was great. :)

And... I know you can't see it very well, but Shaun broke out the "Baby dance" for Annie. It, too, was great. Hehe.

I love my husband. :)

Cutting the cake!

Mark was so nice.. he fed it to her gently. Sadly, shortly after this my camera died so this marks the end of the pictures. Thanks everyone for a great time. Special thanks to Bob and Mary, who let us stay at their home while we were visiting. Congratulations Annie and Mark. :) We love you.
