Our New Home!!

As you all know, we purchased a home in Selah (finally)! We received the keys two days ago - here are a few pictures of it to prove that it's ours! I'll give you the quick guided tour; there will be more pictures of the back yard and front yard, etc. later. It was too dark to take many pictures. Note the directional arrows, as they will help put things in perspective where there are no pictures (I'm feeling a bit lazy, sorry). We do plan on finely sanding the hardwood floors and putting a new finish on them before we move anything else in... although if you ask me I'd prefer to do it after all of the furniture has been shuffled about (too bad we can't). This is our deck - you can barely see me at the end of it in our swing.
<---- Parking Front Lawn ----->

This is the monstrous window that has quite a nice view from inside (and with the deck you can sit outside in the summer and have a great view as well). Don't mind Jim sticking his tongue out at me in the background. :)
This is the right corner of the deck (if you're facing the house), the front of the deck is slightly off to the right.
This is the view from the deck when you're about even with the front door.
This is standing a little bit further over, still several paces away from the swing.

Me on the swing! Apparently it was too heavy for the sellers to take with them, so they left it for us. I thought it was a great house warming gift. They left us a few other things, too. They seem like pretty nice people. This is the front of the deck as you make your way back from the swing towards the door. Parking is around the corner to the right. The edge of the house there is the master bedroom.
Door ------>
...and this is our door!
This is a not so good picture of the living room as you walk in from the door and turn to the right. The master bedroom from this direction is behind you and the kitchen/dining room is off to the left. The fireplace is directly to your left. The doors you see in the far left go to the guest bedrooms and bathroom.
This is an alternate view of the living room, you can see the entrance and the hardwood floors.
This is our fireplace. It looks too white in this picture because I cut out the background; it goes very well with the room. The tools, wood rack and screen (and candelabra that you can't see) were also left by the owners. They're actually really cute. To the left is a cute built in bookshelf with a small sitting area beneath it, as well as the master bedroom entrance.
This is the entrance to the master bedroom. My camera doesn't do it justice - I had my larger lens on for these shots so I had to stand quite a bit away for most of the pictures, which cut out a lot of the viewing area.
There's a small corner in the room (which is what you're viewing) that would be great for a little bench to sit by the window. Too bad we have a huge bed that will most likely prevent that idea from ever becoming a reality. From this view the bath is further up and to the right.
This is another sad angle, but it's the master bath from our bedroom. The guest bath is much bigger, but we don't need much and there's actually a very nice storage closet to the right as you walk in that should do just fine. Plus, our bathroom has dual shower heads. :)
I'm practically standing in the shower just so I can zoom out enough to try to show you another shot of the bathroom. You can barely see the shower in the mirror.
<------- Master Bedroom
This is the view coming back out of the master and looking towards the kitchen/dining area. The sliding glass door is over in the corner. It leads to the back yard and a storage shed attached to the house (as well as the parking and street, etc).
The dining area. The computer room is off to the left.
The kitchen! Don't mind our purses and dog leash. We were busy moving boxes. The cpu room is directly behind you while you're facing this direction.
Oh my!! Cupboard space?! I never thought I'd see the day... they all fit in just one cupboard, too! So amazing...The granite counter tops. So purdy. The microwave, we decided, will cover the ghastly black cord saying hello. The fridge will go directly to the right once we retrieve it from mom and jim's house. Daniel's favorite thing in the house. Not kidding. You can guess who does the dishes.

Daniel was talking as I took this picture. He had just come from work.
I put the camera on the kitchen table and feebly attempted a picture of us together in our new house. Mom and Jim had already left.
This is the computer room, again you can't see most of it because of my stinkin camera.
<----- laundry closet back door ------>
This is the pantry which is behind the computer room. You can see the door to it in the previous picture. Again there's a lot more space than what my camera is showing.
If you go out of the computer room and into the living room, this is the view of the doors that you saw earlier leading to the bedrooms and bathroom.
<----- smaller guest bedroom, closet, followed by the bathroom, another closet
-----> larger guest bedroom
This is the smaller guest bedroom once you're inside.

Another view of the room...

This is the best light switch plate I've ever seen. Too bad Daniel won't let me keep it. Hehe.
This is Dan posing in the larger guest bedroom. He reminds me of the italian guy from the movie "Brother's Grimm" "Mescoooosee, Generalie!"
Another view of the larger guest bedroom. The left us new blinds. :) The guest bathroom entrance.
<----- small bedroom large bedroom ----->
Tile floors! They'll eventually need re-grouting (or maybe just cleaned really well).

This is a second view of the guest bath, which concludes our tour for this evening. The bathtub is to my right and I'm standing close to the toilet to try to get an alternate shot. I'll have more pictures to show you later. Wish us luck, we love you all! Thanks for your support through it all!
