Growing Plants and Cats!

These days we just can't seem to keep up with the time - it seems just yesterday that we moved into our new home, and already things are a' changing! Spring has sprung here in Yakima, at least at our house; our flowers don't seem to understand that it's a little too early to bloom yet. The tulips are just beginning to bloom (I don't have any pictures of them yet) and these little guys here (see picture below) started blooming at the beginning of this month. I'm not sure what type of flower they are, but they sure are cute.
The kittens are growing at an alarming rate, as well; it seems that every time I blink they are a few inches longer. Fortunately, they have become a little less shy (at least for us, they don't like strangers much). They love to play, and unfortunately my drapes and plants have been their favorite targets as of late. *sigh*
They are *very* curious about new rooms, although they spook easily while investigating. Rusty likes to follow me around the house on my days off and whine at me. Bella is warming up to being approached without scurrying off; she loves a good pet and is slowly realizing that approaches = pets!
The good news is that they obviously love their new home, and I'm pretty sure they love us, too, even if Rusty doesn't like to admit it (he hates it when I pet him while he's playing... it reminds me of a two year old that gets mad at their mom for wiping their nose).
P.S. They go to the vet pretty soon for surgery (spaying and neutering, oh boy, oh boy!), wish us luck. I'm hoping that they adapt well and aren't too shell shocked when we bring them home. Pray that they heal up well!
Unknown lowers in the yard.
More unknown flowers. There are mainly purple and light purple, but in a few places around the yard there are some light yellow as well.

My gnomes guard the flowers well. Better watch out or he'll smack you with that bowling ball in his hand...Lazy kitten! Bella likes to burrow under pillows to sleep - her own little cave of sorts.
Bella in play mode.
Rusty occasionally poses for me. :) What a good kitty. Snooping around while I take pictures.
Bella was sleeping - I woke her up with my flash.
